Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure), especially when single medicine is not adequate; helps reduce risk of heart attack and stroke associated with uncontrolled BP.

Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that reduces calcium entry into vascular smooth muscle, causing vasodilation and lowering blood pressure.
Oral tablet. Take once daily as prescribed, preferably at the same time each day; with or without food. Swallow whole with water; do not stop abruptly without medical advice.
