Important Warnings

Use with caution in asthma/COPD, diabetes (may mask hypoglycaemia symptoms), thyroid disorders, peripheral vascular disease, and in patients with conduction disorders (AV block) or very low heart rate/low BP. Do not stop abruptly (may worsen angina/arrhythmias). Monitor blood pressure and pulse regularly. In heart failure, dose is usually started low and up-titrated by a doctor. Seek urgent care for wheezing, severe dizziness/fainting, or worsening breathlessness/weight gain/ankle swelling.

Other antihypertensives (additive hypotension)
verapamil/diltiazem (risk of bradycardia/heart block)
digoxin (bradycardia)
amiodarone/antiarrhythmics (conduction problems)
clonidine (rebound hypertension if stopped improperly)
NSAIDs (may reduce BP-lowering effect)
insulin/oral antidiabetics (masks hypoglycaemia)
CYP inhibitors like rifampicin may alter effect
