Bisoprolol fumarate 2.5 mg (equivalent to Bisoprolol 2.5 mg)
Treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension); management of angina (chest pain) due to coronary artery disease; adjunct treatment of stable chronic heart failure (as prescribed).
Bisoprolol is a cardioselective beta-1 blocker that reduces the effect of adrenaline on the heart. It slows heart rate and decreases the force of contraction, lowering blood pressure and reducing the heart’s oxygen demand.
Oral tablet. Take exactly as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day, with or without food. Do not stop suddenly; dose should be tapered under medical supervision.

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Siscor 2.5MG Tab. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
Use with caution in asthma/COPD, diabetes (may mask hypoglycaemia symptoms), thyroid disorders, peripheral vascular disease, and in patients with conduction disorders (AV block) or very low heart rate/low BP. Do not stop abruptly (may worsen angina/arrhythmias). Monitor blood pressure and pulse regularly. In heart failure, dose is usually started low and up-titrated by a doctor. Seek urgent care for wheezing, severe dizziness/fainting, or worsening breathlessness/weight gain/ankle swelling.
