Important Warnings

Use with caution in patients with gastric ulcer disease, severe liver or kidney impairment, or asthma/bronchospasm history. Stop and seek medical help if rash, swelling, breathing difficulty, or severe skin reactions occur. Not meant for dry cough without mucus unless advised. For children, dose should be as per paediatrician. If cough lasts >7 days, is recurrent, or is accompanied by fever, wheezing, blood in sputum, or weight loss, seek medical advice.

May increase penetration of certain antibiotics (e.g.
amoxicillin
cefuroxime
erythromycin
doxycycline) into bronchial secretions; usually not harmful but inform doctor. Avoid combining with cough suppressants (e.g.
codeine/dextromethorphan) in productive cough unless prescribed
as it may hinder mucus clearance.

Always tell your doctor about all medicines you are taking, including over-the-counter drugs and supplements.
