Progesterone (Sustained Release) 300 mg
Luteal phase support in infertility/ART (IVF/ICSI), progesterone supplementation in progesterone deficiency, support of early pregnancy in threatened/recurrent miscarriage due to luteal insufficiency, secondary amenorrhea (as prescribed)
Progesterone is a natural female hormone that prepares and maintains the uterine lining (endometrium) for implantation and pregnancy. It stabilizes the endometrium, reduces uterine contractions, and supports the luteal phase when endogenous progesterone is inadequate.
Oral sustained-release tablet; take exactly as prescribed, preferably at the same time each day. Usually taken after food and often at bedtime (may cause drowsiness/dizziness). Swallow whole; do not crush or chew. Duration and dose depend on indication (luteal support/pregnancy support/amenorrhea).
Common side effects of Susten SR 300 Tablet may include:
May cause sleepiness/dizziness—avoid driving or alcohol if affected. Use with caution in liver disease, history of depression, epilepsy/migraine, diabetes, asthma, kidney/heart disease or fluid retention. Seek urgent care for signs of blood clot (leg pain/swelling, chest pain, breathlessness), severe headache/vision changes, jaundice, or heavy vaginal bleeding. Not for use in known/suspected breast or genital cancers, unexplained vaginal bleeding, active thromboembolic disorders, or severe liver disease unless specialist directs.
