Important Warnings

Prescription-only anticancer hormone therapy. Increased risk of blood clots (DVT/PE) and stroke—seek urgent care for leg swelling/pain, chest pain, sudden breathlessness or weakness. Can increase risk of endometrial changes/cancer—report abnormal vaginal bleeding. May cause cataracts/vision changes. Use caution in patients with history of thromboembolism, hyperlipidemia, liver disease. Regular follow-up, gynecologic review when appropriate, and monitoring as advised are important.

Drug Interactions

Tamova 40MG Tab may interact with the following:

Warfarin and other anticoagulants (increased bleeding risk/INR changes)
strong CYP2D6 inhibitors (e.g.
paroxetine
fluoxetine
bupropion
quinidine) may reduce active metabolite and effectiveness
rifampicin may reduce levels
other hormonal therapies/estrogens may interfere
certain anticancer agents (monitor as directed)
