Treatment and prevention of bleeding due to excessive fibrinolysis such as heavy menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia)

How Tranexa Tab Works

Tranexamic acid is an antifibrinolytic that blocks the binding of plasminogen to fibrin, preventing formation of plasmin. This stabilizes blood clots and reduces ongoing bleeding.

Dosage & Directions

Take by mouth as directed by a physician. Swallow the tablet with water, with or without food; taking with food may reduce stomach upset. Dose and duration depend on the bleeding condition (e.g., for heavy menstrual bleeding it is typically taken only during bleeding days).
