Important Warnings

Use with caution in patients with asthma/COPD, diabetes (may mask hypoglycemia), peripheral vascular disease, thyroid disorders, and kidney impairment (atenolol dose may need adjustment). Not recommended in severe bradycardia, heart block, cardiogenic shock, decompensated heart failure, or severe hypotension. Do not discontinue abruptly (risk of rebound angina/MI).
