Important Warnings
Use only under specialist supervision with ultrasound and hormone monitoring. Risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS), ovarian torsion and multiple pregnancy in women undergoing fertility treatment—seek urgent care for severe abdominal pain, rapid weight gain, shortness of breath, decreased urination or leg swelling. Contraindicated in hormone-dependent tumors (e.g., ovarian/uterine/breast cancer), primary ovarian failure, uncontrolled thyroid/adrenal disorders, pituitary tumor, abnormal uterine bleeding of unknown cause, and active thromboembolic disease (as clinically applicable). Use caution in patients with history of thrombosis, migraine, asthma, epilepsy, cardiac/renal disease or hyperprolactinemia. In men, may cause gynecomastia, acne, edema and can worsen prostate disease; monitor testosterone/hematocrit as advised. Not for intravenous use.
Pregnancy Safety
Not recommended (used to induce ovulation; contraindicated in established pregnancy unless specifically directed by doctor)
Alcohol Interaction
Use with caution (no direct interaction known; alcohol may worsen fertility outcomes and side effects)
Storage
Store refrigerated at 2–8°C; do not freeze. Protect from light. After reconstitution, use immediately (or as per pack insert); discard any unused solution.
