Guaifenesin (50mg) + Terbutaline (1.25mg) + Bromhexine (2mg)
Productive (wet) cough with mucus, chest congestion, acute and chronic bronchitis, cough associated with asthma/COPD where expectoration is needed
Terbutaline is a beta-2 bronchodilator that relaxes airway smooth muscle and eases breathing. Bromhexine is a mucolytic that thins and loosens thick mucus, while guaifenesin helps expel mucus by increasing bronchial secretions; menthol provides a soothing, cooling effect in the throat.
Oral syrup. Take as prescribed by the doctor; usually taken after food using a measuring cup/spoon. Shake well before use; drink adequate fluids. Do not exceed recommended dose and avoid using with other cough/cold medicines unless advised.
Nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, tremor, nervousness, palpitations, increased heart rate, sweating, throat irritation, rash
Schedule H: use under medical supervision. Use with caution in heart disease, arrhythmias, hypertension, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, seizure disorders, peptic ulcer, and in elderly. May cause dizziness/tremor—avoid driving if affected. Seek medical help if wheezing worsens, severe palpitations/chest pain occur, or cough persists >7 days, is recurrent, or is accompanied by fever, rash or persistent headache. Not meant for dry cough unless prescribed.
Beta-blockers (may reduce effect of terbutaline), MAO inhibitors/tricyclic antidepressants (may increase cardiovascular effects), other sympathomimetics/bronchodilators (additive side effects), diuretics/corticosteroids/xanthines like theophylline (may increase risk of hypokalemia), digoxin (hypokalemia may increase arrhythmia risk)
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct light. Keep tightly closed and out of reach of children. Do not freeze.
