Baga 300 mg Capsule contains Gabapentin (300mg) and is used for neuropathic pain. Prescription required.

Neuropathic pain Epilepsy/Seizures

Baga 300 Capsules is an antiepileptic medication. When given for epilepsy, it is believed to work by reducing the abnormal electrical activity in the brain, thus preventing seizures. It is also used to treat nerve pain where it blocks pain by interfering with pain signals traveling through the damaged nerves and the brain.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Baga 300 Tablet should be taken with or after food.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

This medicine causes drowsiness and unsteadiness, particularly when you start it or the dose goes up. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how it affects you. Never stop it suddenly. Stopping abruptly can cause anxiety, sleeplessness, sweating and, in people taking it for epilepsy, fits. Your doctor will taper it. Tell your doctor about any change in mood or any thoughts of harming yourself. The dose is usually built up slowly from a low starting point — follow the schedule your doctor gave you rather than jumping to the full dose. Pregabalin comes under Schedule H1 from 16 November 2026 and will then need a prescription and a pharmacy register entry.

Opioid painkillers, alcohol, sleeping tablets and antihistamines all add to the drowsiness, and the combination with opioids can dangerously slow breathing. Antacids reduce the absorption of gabapentin — separate them by a couple of hours.

Store below 30°C in the original pack, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
