Combinase Ft Nasal Spray

Combinase Ft Nasal Spray contains Fluticasone Propionate (27.5mcg) + Azelastine (140mcg) and is used for sneezing and runny nose due to allergies. Prescription required.

Treatment of Sneezing and runny nose due to allergies

Combinase FT Nasal Spray is a combination of two medicines: Fluticasone Propionate and Azelastine, which relieves sneezing and runny nose caused due to allergies (allergic rhinitis). Fluticasone Propionate is a steroid which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause inflammation (swelling) and irritation in the nose. Azelastine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing.

Use this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Insert the bottle tip into one nostril and close the other nostril. Direct the spray towards the sides of your nostril, away from the cartilage dividing the two sides of your nose. As you spray, breath gently and keep the head upright. Repeat the same process for the other nostrils.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Know which of your inhalers is the reliever and which is the preventer. A preventer must be used every day even when you feel well; a reliever is for symptoms. Seek emergency care if your reliever is not working, if you cannot speak a full sentence, or if you are using the reliever far more often than usual. Rinse your mouth with water and spit it out after every steroid inhaler dose to prevent thrush and hoarseness. Ask your doctor or pharmacist to watch your technique — poor technique is the commonest reason an inhaler seems not to work. Use a spacer if one has been advised, particularly for children. Older antihistamines cause marked drowsiness — do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this affects you. Tell your doctor promptly about any change in mood, sleep, agitation or unusual thoughts while taking montelukast; this is uncommon but recognised. This relieves the symptoms of an allergy; it does not treat the cause, and it is not a treatment for an acute asthma attack. Seek emergency care for swelling of the lips, tongue or throat, or difficulty breathing.

Beta blockers, including eye drops for glaucoma, can tighten the airways and reduce the effect of your reliever. Alcohol, sleeping tablets and other sedating medicines add to the drowsiness. Tell your doctor about all cold and cough preparations — many already contain an antihistamine.

Store below 30°C, away from direct sunlight. Do not freeze. Keep out of the reach of children.
