Treatment of Respiratory disease with excessive mucus

Lumenac C Effervescent Tablet Strawberry is a mucolytic medication. It works by thinning the mucus (phlegm) making it easier to cough out. Thus, it clears the air passages and makes breathing easier. It also has antioxidant action.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Dissolve it in a glass of water before taking it. Lumenac C Effervescent Tablet Strawberry may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Fever , Nausea , Vomiting , Rash , Gastrointestinal discomfort

See a doctor if a cough lasts more than a week, or comes with fever, breathlessness, chest pain or blood in the sputum. Do not give cough and cold preparations to young children except on a doctor's advice. Do not combine two cough preparations — they frequently contain the same ingredients, and the doses add up. Preparations containing codeine can cause dependence and must be used only for the period your doctor specifies. A supplement supports a normal diet; it does not prevent or treat infection. Zinc on an empty stomach commonly causes nausea — take it with food. Very high doses of vitamin A over a long period can be harmful, particularly in pregnancy. Do not take several products containing the same nutrient at once; the totals add up.

Sedating ingredients add to the effect of alcohol and sleeping tablets. Decongestants such as phenylephrine and pseudoephedrine can raise blood pressure — tell your doctor if you are hypertensive. Zinc and other minerals reduce the absorption of some antibiotics — separate them by a few hours. Tell your doctor if you take a blood thinner, as high-dose vitamin E can add to its effect.
