Macpod Az contains Azithromycin (250mg) + Cefpodoxime (200mg) and is used for bacterial infections. Prescription required.

Macpod Az Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics: Cefpodoxime Proxetil and Azithromycin. Cefpodoxime Proxetil works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of the bacteria. Azithromycin stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Macpod Az Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Interacts with a long list of medicines, including statins, some heart medicines and blood thinners — tell your doctor everything you take.
