This medicine is used in the treatment of bacterial infection, chest infection, throat infection, skin infection, cough, chest congestion and common cold symptoms.

This medicine combines 2 active ingredients: Roxithromycin and Ambroxol. Roxithromycin stops the bacteria causing your infection from making the proteins they need to multiply. Ambroxol loosens and thins the mucus in your airways so a cough clears it more easily, and eases the tightness that comes with congestion.

Use this medicine as your doctor has directed. Follow the dose and the duration written on your prescription.

Finish the whole course even after you feel better. Tell your doctor if you have a heart rhythm problem or take a medicine for one — this group can affect the heart's electrical timing. Report severe or watery loose motions during or after the course rather than treating them yourself. See a doctor if a cough lasts more than a week, or comes with fever, breathlessness, chest pain or blood in the sputum. Do not give cough and cold preparations to young children except on a doctor's advice. Do not combine two cough preparations — they frequently contain the same ingredients, and the doses add up. Preparations containing codeine can cause dependence and must be used only for the period your doctor specifies.

Interacts with a long list of medicines, including statins, some heart medicines and blood thinners — tell your doctor everything you take. Antacids reduce absorption; separate them by a couple of hours. Sedating ingredients add to the effect of alcohol and sleeping tablets. Decongestants such as phenylephrine and pseudoephedrine can raise blood pressure — tell your doctor if you are hypertensive.
