Ointment
Used for relieving pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal conditions such as sprains, strains, sports injuries, backache, and localized joint/muscle pain.
Topical pain-relief ointments typically reduce local inflammation and provide analgesia at the site of application. Depending on the ingredients, they may inhibit prostaglandin-mediated pain/inflammation (NSAIDs) and/or provide counter-irritant warming/cooling that distracts from pain.
For external use only. Apply a thin layer to the affected area and gently massage until absorbed, usually 2-3 times daily or as directed by a physician. Wash hands after application; avoid application on broken/irritated skin and avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and mucosa.
Application site burning, itching, redness, rash, dryness, skin irritation
Do not use on open wounds, infected skin, eczema, or mucous membranes. Stop use and seek medical advice if severe irritation, allergy, swelling, or breathing difficulty occurs. Avoid occlusive dressings/heat pads unless prescribed. Use with caution in children, elderly, and in patients with known hypersensitivity to topical pain-relief ingredients. If pain persists beyond 7-10 days or worsens, consult a doctor.
If the product contains topical NSAIDs, concomitant use with oral NSAIDs/anticoagulants (e.g., warfarin) may increase bleeding risk; avoid applying multiple topical analgesics on the same area. Actual interaction profile depends on exact composition.
Store at room temperature (below 25°C), protected from heat and direct sunlight. Keep cap tightly closed and keep away from moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
