Relief of allergic rhinitis (hay fever) symptoms such as sneezing, runny/blocked nose, itchy/watery eyes; also used for urticaria (hives) with itching.

Fexofenadine is a second-generation antihistamine that selectively blocks peripheral H1 receptors. This reduces the effects of histamine released during allergies, improving sneezing, itching, watering of eyes and runny nose with minimal sedation.

Tablet for oral use. Take as prescribed by the doctor; commonly 1 tablet once daily with water, with or without food. Avoid taking with fruit juices (apple/orange/grapefruit) and keep a 2-hour gap from antacids containing aluminium/magnesium.

Headache, dizziness, nausea, dry mouth, fatigue, drowsiness (rare), indigestion

Use with caution in kidney disease and in elderly; dose adjustment may be needed. Avoid fruit juices around dosing as they can reduce effect. If you feel sleepy or dizzy, avoid driving/operating machinery. Seek medical help for severe allergy symptoms, swelling of face/throat, or breathing difficulty.

Aluminium/magnesium antacids (reduced absorption), erythromycin (may increase levels), ketoconazole (may increase levels), fruit juices (reduced absorption)

Store at room temperature (below 25°C), protected from moisture and light. Keep in original pack and out of reach of children.
