Drug | Tablet
Relief of acute musculoskeletal pain and inflammation associated with muscle spasm such as backache, neck pain, sprain/strain, sports injuries, and painful muscle spasms.
Aceclofenac reduces pain and inflammation by inhibiting cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes and lowering prostaglandin levels. Paracetamol provides analgesic and antipyretic action mainly via central pathways. Chlorzoxazone is a centrally acting muscle relaxant that helps reduce muscle spasm and improves mobility.
Tablet for oral use. Take as prescribed by the doctor, usually after food to reduce stomach upset. Swallow whole with water; do not crush/chew. Avoid taking other paracetamol-containing products concurrently unless advised.
Nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, indigestion, heartburn, diarrhea, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, fatigue, increased liver enzymes
Prescription (Schedule H) medicine. NSAID-related risk of stomach ulcer/bleeding—use caution in history of peptic ulcer, GI bleeding, or in elderly. Use with caution in liver disease (paracetamol/chlorzoxazone) and kidney disease (aceclofenac); avoid alcohol due to liver risk and sedation. May cause dizziness/drowsiness—avoid driving or operating machinery if affected. Do not exceed recommended dose or duration; prolonged/high-dose paracetamol can cause serious liver damage. Seek urgent help for allergic reactions (rash, swelling, breathing difficulty) or signs of GI bleed (black stools, blood vomiting).
Alcohol, anticoagulants/antiplatelets (warfarin, aspirin, clopidogrel), other NSAIDs, corticosteroids, SSRIs/SNRIs, ACE inhibitors/ARBs and diuretics (kidney risk), lithium, methotrexate, cyclosporine/tacrolimus, hepatotoxic drugs, sedatives/CNS depressants
