Uses & Benefits
Relief of pain and inflammation in conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, backache, dental pain, muscle/joint pain, and other painful inflammatory conditions.
How It Works
Aceclofenac is an NSAID that reduces pain and inflammation by inhibiting cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes and lowering prostaglandin production. Paracetamol provides analgesic and antipyretic effects mainly by acting in the central nervous system, helping reduce pain and fever.
Directions for Use
Tablet: Take as prescribed by the doctor, usually with or after food to reduce stomach upset. Swallow whole with water; do not crush/chew unless advised. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration; do not exceed recommended total daily paracetamol dose from all sources.
Side Effects
nausea, vomiting, stomach pain/indigestion, heartburn, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, increased liver enzymes, skin rash
Warnings & Precautions
Schedule H: prescription-only. NSAIDs can cause stomach ulcer/bleeding; risk is higher in elderly, those with ulcer history, alcohol use, or with blood thinners/steroids. Use with caution in kidney disease, liver disease, hypertension, heart disease, asthma/NSAID allergy, and dehydration. Stop and seek care if black stools, vomiting blood, severe abdominal pain, swelling, shortness of breath, chest pain, severe rash, or jaundice occur. Avoid taking with other NSAIDs or additional paracetamol-containing products. Long-term/high-dose use may increase cardiovascular risk and kidney injury.
Drug Interactions
anticoagulants/antiplatelets (e.g., warfarin, aspirin, clopidogrel), other NSAIDs, corticosteroids, SSRIs/SNRIs (bleeding risk), antihypertensives (ACE inhibitors/ARBs, diuretics) and diuretics (reduced effect/renal risk), methotrexate, lithium, cyclosporine/tacrolimus, alcohol, hepatotoxic drugs (paracetamol risk)
