How does this medicine work?
Cefixime is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to death of susceptible bacteria.
How should I use this medicine?
Dry syrup: Reconstitute with boiled and cooled water up to the mark, shake well. Give the measured dose using a measuring cup/syringe as prescribed, once or twice daily. Can be taken with or without food; if stomach upset occurs, take with food. Shake well before each dose and complete the full course.
