Betahistine is a histamine analogue that improves microcirculation in the inner ear by increasing blood flow and reducing endolymphatic pressure. It also modulates histamine receptors in the vestibular system, helping reduce vertigo symptoms.
Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Usually taken orally 2-3 times daily; take with or after food to reduce stomach upset. Swallow whole with water; continue regularly as benefits may take a few weeks.
Common side effects of Betavert 16 Tablet may include:
Use with caution in patients with bronchial asthma, peptic ulcer disease or history of ulcers, and low blood pressure. Seek medical help if allergic reactions occur (rash, swelling, breathing difficulty). Not recommended for children unless advised by a specialist. May cause mild drowsiness in some; use caution while driving if affected.
