Uses of Fusiwin Oint 5GM

Treatment of bacterial skin infections such as impetigo, infected dermatitis/eczema, folliculitis, infected cuts and wounds caused by susceptible bacteria (commonly Staphylococcus).

• •Treats impetigo and minor bacterial skin infections
• •Reduces redness and pus formation
• •Helps heal infected cuts/wounds
• •Effective against susceptible Staphylococcus infections

How it works

Fusidic acid is a topical antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by blocking elongation factor G (EF‑G). This stops growth of susceptible bacteria and helps clear skin infection.

Directions for use

For external use only. Clean and dry the affected area, then apply a thin layer 2–3 times daily or as directed by a doctor; may be covered with a light dressing if advised. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth and inside the nose unless prescribed.
