Fusidic acid 2% w/w
Treatment of bacterial skin infections such as impetigo, infected dermatitis/eczema, folliculitis, infected cuts and wounds caused by susceptible bacteria (commonly Staphylococcus).
Fusidic acid is a topical antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by blocking elongation factor G (EF‑G). This stops growth of susceptible bacteria and helps clear skin infection.
For external use only. Clean and dry the affected area, then apply a thin layer 2–3 times daily or as directed by a doctor; may be covered with a light dressing if advised. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth and inside the nose unless prescribed.

Use only for bacterial infections; do not use for viral/fungal skin conditions unless advised. Avoid prolonged/large-area use to reduce risk of resistance and sensitization. Stop and seek medical advice if severe irritation, allergy (swelling, hives) or no improvement within 5–7 days. Use cautiously on broken skin and in infants; avoid use near eyes.
