Treatment of bacterial skin infections such as impetigo, infected dermatitis/eczema, folliculitis, boils/furuncles, infected cuts and wounds caused by susceptible bacteria (especially Staphylococcus).

Fusidic acid is a topical antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by blocking elongation factor G (EF-G). This stops growth of susceptible bacteria and helps clear the skin infection.

For external use only. Clean and dry the affected area, then apply a thin layer to the infected skin 2–3 times daily or as directed by a doctor. Use for the prescribed duration; avoid contact with eyes, mouth and inside nose unless advised.

Do not use if allergic to fusidic acid or any ingredient. Avoid prolonged or repeated use without medical advice as it may promote resistance. Use with caution on large areas, broken skin, near eyes, or under occlusion; stop and seek medical help if severe irritation or signs of allergy occur. Not for fungal/viral infections unless prescribed; consult a doctor for use in infants, pregnancy or breastfeeding (avoid applying to nipple area).

No significant interactions expected with topical use; avoid using with other topical products on the same area unless advised (may increase irritation or affect absorption).

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Keep the tube tightly closed; protect from heat and direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
