Glimepiride (2mg) + Metformin (500mg)

Glimepiride is a sulfonylurea that increases insulin release from the pancreas and improves insulin action. Metformin decreases glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity, reducing intestinal glucose absorption. Together they lower fasting and post-meal blood sugar.

Take orally exactly as prescribed, usually with meals to reduce stomach upset and lower risk of hypoglycaemia. Swallow tablet whole with water; do not skip meals. Dose is individualized based on blood glucose; regular monitoring is required.
