Montelukast 10 mg + Desloratadine 5 mg
Allergic rhinitis (seasonal/perennial) with symptoms such as sneezing, runny/blocked nose, itchy/watery eyes; allergy-associated cough/wheezing; adjunct in allergy-triggered asthma symptoms as advised by doctor.
Desloratadine is a second-generation antihistamine that blocks H1 receptors to reduce sneezing, itching, and runny nose. Montelukast is a leukotriene receptor antagonist that blocks leukotriene D4, decreasing airway inflammation, nasal congestion, and allergy-related bronchospasm.
Tablet; usually taken once daily, preferably in the evening or as directed by the physician. Can be taken with or without food; swallow whole with water. Do not exceed prescribed dose.
Common side effects of Mondeslor Tablet may include:
Schedule H: use only on prescription. Use caution if you have liver disease. May cause drowsiness in some people—avoid driving if affected. Montelukast has been associated with mood/behavior changes (agitation, anxiety, sleep disturbance, depression, suicidal thoughts); stop and seek medical help if these occur. Not for acute asthma attack relief. Inform doctor if you are on other allergy/asthma medicines.
