Ofloxacin injection (concentration/strength per mL not specified) in 100 mL IV infusion
Treatment of susceptible bacterial infections such as complicated urinary tract infections, respiratory tract infections, skin/soft tissue infections, gastrointestinal infections, and other serious infections where IV fluoroquinolone is appropriate
Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic. It inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase (topoisomerase II) and topoisomerase IV, blocking DNA replication and repair, leading to bacterial cell death.
For intravenous use only. Administer as slow IV infusion over the period recommended in the label/hospital protocol; dose and duration depend on infection type, severity, renal function, and culture sensitivity. Do not mix with incompatible IV fluids/medicines; use under medical supervision.

Prescription-only antibiotic; use only for proven/suspected bacterial infection. Fluoroquinolones may cause tendonitis/tendon rupture, peripheral neuropathy, CNS effects (seizures, confusion), QT prolongation/arrhythmias, dysglycemia, and severe hypersensitivity. Risk of C. difficile–associated diarrhea. Use with caution in elderly, renal impairment (dose adjustment), history of seizures, myasthenia gravis, and in patients on QT-prolonging drugs. Stop and seek care if tendon pain, neuropathy symptoms, severe diarrhea, or allergic reaction occurs.
