Salicylic Acid 3% w/w + Clobetasol Propionate 0.05% w/w + Miconazole Nitrate 2% w/w (ointment base q.s.)
Inflammatory, itchy skin conditions with suspected fungal involvement and scaling/thickened skin such as infected eczema/dermatitis, psoriasis with secondary fungal infection, tinea with marked inflammation (as prescribed).
Clobetasol is a very potent corticosteroid that reduces redness, swelling and itching by suppressing inflammatory mediators. Miconazole is an imidazole antifungal that damages fungal cell membranes by inhibiting ergosterol synthesis. Salicylic acid is a keratolytic that softens and removes thick scales and enhances penetration of other actives.
For external use only. Clean and dry the affected area, then apply a thin layer 1–2 times daily or as directed by a doctor. Use for the shortest duration needed; avoid covering with tight occlusive dressings unless advised. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, face, groin/underarms unless prescribed; wash hands after application.
Common side effects of Topisal MF 3% Ointment may include:
Contains clobetasol (super‑potent steroid): prolonged or excessive use can cause skin atrophy, steroid acne, telangiectasia and systemic absorption (HPA-axis suppression), especially in children or under occlusion/large areas. Do not use on viral lesions (herpes, chickenpox), untreated bacterial infections, or acne/rosacea unless advised. Avoid use on broken skin; stop and consult if worsening, severe irritation, or no improvement. Not recommended for long-term continuous use; use cautiously in children. Do not apply to eyes; risk of glaucoma/cataract with periocular use.
