Surgical
Polyglycolic acid (PGA) braided absorbable suture, size 4-0 (USP) / 1.5 metric; with needle (SN 3319PS)
Soft tissue approximation and/or ligation in general surgery; suitable for suturing subcutaneous tissue, mucosa and other tissues where an absorbable suture is indicated
Polyglycolic acid is an absorbable synthetic suture that provides temporary wound support and is gradually broken down in the body by hydrolysis. Tensile strength reduces progressively as healing occurs and the suture is absorbed over time.
Use only by trained healthcare professionals. Select appropriate suture size/needle for tissue and tension required. Handle gently; avoid crushing/kinking. Use standard surgical knotting technique (typically additional throws for braided sutures) and follow institutional protocol.
Common side effects of Trulon 4-0(1.5metric) Suture SN 3319PS may include:
Single-use only; do not re-sterilize. Do not use if pouch is opened, damaged, or past expiry. Risk of infection if asepsis is not maintained. Avoid use in tissues under prolonged high tension or where non-absorbable sutures are required. Absorption/tensile loss may be altered in infected tissues or patients with impaired healing.
