What is Zitamet 20/1000 Tab used for?

Type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve blood glucose control along with diet and exercise

How Zitamet 20/1000 Tab Works

Teneligliptin is a DPP-4 inhibitor that increases incretin levels (GLP-1, GIP), thereby increasing insulin release and decreasing glucagon in a glucose-dependent manner. Metformin decreases hepatic glucose production and improves peripheral insulin sensitivity, reducing blood glucose levels.

Dosage & Directions

Take by mouth exactly as prescribed. Usually taken once daily with food (preferably with evening meal) to reduce stomach upset; if it is an extended-release tablet, swallow whole—do not crush/chew/split. Monitor blood glucose regularly.
