Zoryl Mp-2 — Side Effects & Warnings

• Hypoglycaemia
• nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhoea
• abdominal discomfort
• flatulence
• headache
• dizziness
• weight gain
• oedema (swelling)
• upper respiratory tract infection

Zoryl Mp-2 may interact with the following:

• Alcohol (increases hypoglycaemia and lactic acidosis risk)
• insulin/other antidiabetics (additive hypoglycaemia)
• beta-blockers (mask hypoglycaemia symptoms)
• corticosteroids and thiazide/loop diuretics (raise glucose)
• rifampicin (reduces pioglitazone effect)
• gemfibrozil (increases pioglitazone levels)
• miconazole/fluconazole (increase sulfonylurea effect)
• ACE inhibitors (may enhance glucose-lowering)
• iodinated contrast media (metformin—lactic acidosis risk)
• cationic drugs eliminated by renal tubular secretion e.g.
• cimetidine (increase metformin levels)
