Relief of common cold and flu symptoms such as runny nose, sneezing, nasal congestion, watery eyes, fever, headache, and body aches.
Zyrcold Syrup is typically a combination cold preparation. It usually works by blocking histamine to reduce allergy-like symptoms (runny nose, sneezing), constricting nasal blood vessels to relieve congestion, and reducing fever/pain by inhibiting prostaglandin production.
Use as directed by a doctor/label. Measure with a dosing cup/spoon; take at the same times each day. Can be taken with or without food; take with food if it upsets your stomach. Do not exceed the recommended dose or combine with other cold/flu products containing similar ingredients (especially paracetamol).
Common side effects of Zyrcold Syrup may include:
May cause drowsiness—avoid driving/operating machinery. Do not use more than recommended; overdose (especially of paracetamol) can damage the liver. Use with caution in liver disease, kidney disease, glaucoma, enlarged prostate/urinary retention, thyroid disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and asthma/COPD. Not recommended for self-medication in young children; consult a doctor for pediatric use. Seek medical advice if symptoms persist >3 days, high fever, rash, breathing difficulty, or severe sore throat occurs.
