Relief of productive (wet) cough, chest congestion, and thick mucus in conditions such as acute/chronic bronchitis, COPD, and other respiratory tract infections with excessive sputum.

Ambroxol is a mucolytic/expectorant that thins and loosens thick mucus by breaking down mucus structure and improving mucociliary clearance. This helps bring up phlegm more easily and eases breathing and cough due to congestion.

Oral syrup. Take as directed by a doctor. Commonly taken after food using a measuring cup/spoon; drink plenty of fluids to help loosen mucus. Do not exceed recommended dose; duration depends on symptoms.

Use with caution in patients with history of gastric/peptic ulcer, severe liver or kidney impairment, or bronchial asthma. Stop and seek medical help if allergic reactions (rash, swelling, breathing difficulty) occur. Rare severe skin reactions (e.g., SJS/TEN) have been reported with ambroxol—discontinue if skin/mucosal lesions appear. Not for self-medication in persistent cough, recurrent fever, blood in sputum, or symptoms lasting >5–7 days; consult a doctor. Keep out of reach of children.

Cough suppressants (e.g., dextromethorphan, codeine) may hinder mucus clearance when used together; use only on medical advice. May increase lung concentrations of some antibiotics (e.g., amoxicillin, cefuroxime, erythromycin, doxycycline) without generally needing dose changes.

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct light. Keep bottle tightly closed; do not freeze.
