Relief and prevention of breathing difficulty (bronchospasm) in asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including wheeze, chest tightness and shortness of breath.

This is an inhaled bronchodilator medicine. It relaxes the smooth muscles of the airways, leading to widening of the bronchial passages and easier breathing. Regular use helps improve airflow and reduces symptoms like wheezing.

Use by inhalation only, exactly as prescribed. Exhale fully, seal lips around the mouthpiece, inhale deeply while actuating the device, then hold breath for ~10 seconds; rinse mouth if advised. Use as a reliever before exercise or on symptoms if prescribed; do not exceed the recommended number of puffs/rotations.

Tremor, headache, nervousness, palpitations, fast heartbeat, throat irritation, cough, dizziness, muscle cramps, nausea

Do not use more frequently or in higher doses than prescribed; overuse can worsen asthma control and cause serious heart-related effects. Seek urgent care if breathing worsens or relief is inadequate (paradoxical bronchospasm). Use with caution in heart disease, arrhythmias, hypertension, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, seizure disorders, and in patients with low potassium; monitor potassium if at risk. Not a substitute for controller therapy (e.g., inhaled corticosteroid) in persistent asthma unless advised by a doctor.

Beta-blockers (may reduce effect and provoke bronchospasm), other sympathomimetics/bronchodilators (additive side effects), MAO inhibitors and tricyclic antidepressants (increased cardiovascular effects), diuretics and corticosteroids (increased risk of hypokalemia), digoxin (levels/effects may be altered)

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct heat/sunlight and moisture; keep the device tightly closed and out of reach of children. Do not puncture or burn any pressurized canister if present with the device.
