Salmeterol (50mcg) + Fluticasone Propionate (250mcg)

Maintenance treatment of asthma, Maintenance treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) including chronic bronchitis and emphysema (where inhaled corticosteroid/LABA combination is indicated)

Fluticasone is an inhaled corticosteroid that reduces airway inflammation, swelling and mucus production. Formoterol is a long-acting beta-2 agonist (LABA) that relaxes airway smooth muscles to keep airways open for easier breathing. Together they prevent symptoms like wheeze and breathlessness when used regularly.

For inhalation use only via a compatible dry powder inhaler/rotahaler-type device; do not swallow the capsule. Use exactly as prescribed, usually at the same time each day. Rinse mouth/gargle with water after each use and spit out to reduce risk of oral thrush.

Not for relief of sudden asthma attack/acute bronchospasm—keep a rescue inhaler (e.g., salbutamol). Do not exceed prescribed dose; LABA overuse can be harmful. Rinse mouth after use to prevent fungal infection. Use with caution in heart disease, arrhythmias, hypertension, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, seizures, glaucoma, tuberculosis or untreated infections. Long-term/high-dose inhaled steroids may cause adrenal suppression, reduced bone mineral density, cataract/glaucoma, and growth suppression in children. Seek medical help if breathing worsens, increased need for rescue inhaler, or signs of pneumonia in COPD.

Beta-blockers (may reduce effect/trigger bronchospasm),other LABAs/adrenergic drugs (additive cardiovascular effects),MAO inhibitors or tricyclic antidepressants (enhanced sympathomimetic effects),strong CYP3A4 inhibitors like ritonavir/cobicistat/ketoconazole/itraconazole (increase fluticasone systemic effects),diuretics (hypokalemia risk),xanthines like theophylline (hypokalemia risk)

Store below 25°C in a dry place, protected from moisture and direct light. Keep capsules in blister until use. Keep out of reach of children.
