Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure), especially when single-drug therapy is inadequate; helps reduce risk of cardiovascular events associated with uncontrolled BP.

Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels by blocking angiotensin II action. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that dilates arteries by reducing calcium entry into vascular smooth muscle. Together they lower blood pressure more effectively than either alone.

Take by mouth as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day. Can be taken with or without food; swallow whole with water. Do not stop suddenly without medical advice; monitor blood pressure regularly.

Dizziness, headache, ankle swelling (edema), flushing, fatigue, palpitations, nausea, low blood pressure

Not recommended in pregnancy; stop and consult a doctor if pregnancy occurs. Use caution in kidney or liver impairment, dehydration, low blood pressure, heart failure, aortic stenosis, and elderly patients. May cause dizziness—avoid driving if affected. Monitor kidney function and potassium, especially if on diuretics or kidney disease. Seek urgent care for severe swelling of face/lips (angioedema) or fainting.

Potassium supplements/potassium-sparing diuretics (hyperkalemia), other antihypertensives/diuretics (additive hypotension), NSAIDs (reduced effect and kidney risk), lithium (toxicity), aliskiren or ACE inhibitors (increased renal/potassium risk; avoid in diabetes), grapefruit juice (may increase amlodipine levels), strong CYP3A4 inhibitors/inducers (may alter amlodipine effect)

Store below 25°C in a dry place, protected from moisture and light. Keep in original blister pack and out of reach of children.
