Telsar Beta 25 Tablet ER is unsafe to use during pregnancy.<br>There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Telsar Beta 25 Tablet ER is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Taking Metoprolol with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
Driving CAUTION
Telsar Beta 25 Tablet ER is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Telsar Beta 25 Tablet ER is recommended.
Telsar Beta 25 Tablet ER should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Telsar Beta 25 Tablet ER may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Treatment of Hypertension (high blood pressure)
Telsar Beta 25 Tablet ER is a combination of two blood-pressure lowering medicines: Telmisartan and Metoprolol Succinate. Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the chemical angiotensin, thereby relaxing blood vessels. Metoprolol Succinate is a beta blocker which works specifically on the heart to reduce heart rate and lower blood pressure. Together they allow the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Telsar Beta 25 Tablet ER should be taken with or after food.
