Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure), especially when single-drug therapy is not sufficient; helps reduce risk of cardiovascular complications associated with uncontrolled BP.

Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels by blocking angiotensin II effects, lowering blood pressure. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that widens arteries by reducing calcium entry into vascular smooth muscle, further reducing BP and improving blood flow.

Take orally as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow whole with water; do not stop abruptly without medical advice. If a dose is missed, take it when remembered unless it is close to the next dose.

Dizziness, headache, ankle/foot swelling (edema), flushing, fatigue, palpitations, nausea

May cause dizziness—caution while driving/operating machinery. Monitor blood pressure, kidney function and potassium especially in elderly, dehydrated patients or those with kidney disease. Use with caution in liver impairment. Not recommended in pregnancy; may harm the fetus. Seek urgent help for severe swelling of face/lips (angioedema) or very low BP symptoms. Amlodipine may worsen edema; report persistent swelling.

Potassium supplements/potassium-sparing diuretics (risk of hyperkalemia), NSAIDs (may reduce antihypertensive effect and affect kidneys), lithium (toxicity risk), other antihypertensives/diuretics (additive BP lowering), aliskiren (avoid in diabetes), ACE inhibitors (increased renal/hyperkalemia risk), grapefruit juice (may increase amlodipine levels), strong CYP3A4 inhibitors/inducers affecting amlodipine (e.g., clarithromycin, azoles, rifampicin)

Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep in original blister pack and out of reach of children.
