Fever, mild to moderate pain such as headache, toothache, body ache, muscle pain, back pain, cold/flu-related aches, and pain in conditions like osteoarthritis

Paracetamol reduces fever and relieves pain by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system. It also acts on the heat-regulating center in the brain to lower body temperature.

Take by mouth with water, with or without food. Use the dose and frequency as advised by a doctor; do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Avoid taking multiple paracetamol-containing products together.

Nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, abdominal pain, rash, itching, increased liver enzymes (with higher doses)

Do not exceed recommended dose; overdose can cause severe liver damage. Use with caution in liver disease, chronic alcoholism, malnutrition, or severe kidney impairment. Seek medical help if symptoms persist or if signs of allergy occur (rash, swelling, breathing difficulty).

Alcohol, warfarin/other anticoagulants (with prolonged use), enzyme inducers (phenytoin, carbamazepine, phenobarbital), isoniazid, rifampicin, other hepatotoxic medicines
