Monograph
Gel
Broad-spectrum sun protection to help prevent sunburn and photodamage due to UVA/UVB exposure; helps reduce tanning and appearance of sun-induced dark spots when used regularly along with other sun-protective measures.
Sunscreen gel forms a protective film on the skin. UV filters absorb, reflect, or scatter UVA/UVB rays, reducing penetration into the skin and limiting sunburn and photoaging.
For external use only. Apply generously and evenly on exposed skin (face/neck/arms) 15–20 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply every 2–3 hours, and after swimming, sweating, or towel-drying. Use daily; can be used under makeup. Avoid contact with eyes and broken/irritated skin.
Mild burning or stinging, redness, itching, dryness, rash, acne/comedones, eye irritation on contact
For external use only. Stop use and consult a doctor if rash or irritation persists. Avoid contact with eyes; rinse with water if it occurs. Not meant for use on broken/eczema-inflamed skin unless advised. Keep out of reach of children. Sun protection measures (shade, clothing, hats) should be used along with sunscreen.
No significant systemic drug interactions expected with topical sunscreens. If using other topical products (retinoids, AHAs/BHAs, benzoyl peroxide), irritation may increase; consider spacing applications.
Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep container tightly closed. Do not freeze.
