Fever, mild to moderate pain such as teething pain, headache, body ache, post-immunization fever in infants and children

Paracetamol inhibits prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system, which reduces fever and relieves pain. It has minimal anti-inflammatory action at therapeutic doses.

Oral drops for infants/children; shake well and measure with the provided dropper. Dose is based on body weight and doctor’s advice (commonly 10–15 mg/kg per dose every 4–6 hours as needed); do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours. Can be given with or without food; if stomach upset occurs, give after feeds.

Nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, rash, allergic reaction (rare), increased liver enzymes (with overdose/prolonged use)

Do not exceed recommended dose; overdose can cause serious liver damage. Avoid using multiple products containing paracetamol together. Use with caution in liver disease, malnutrition, dehydration, or if the child is on long-term medicines. Seek medical help immediately if overdose is suspected or if fever persists >3 days or pain >5 days.

Warfarin/other coumarin anticoagulants (with prolonged regular use), enzyme inducers (phenytoin, carbamazepine, phenobarbital, rifampicin), isoniazid, alcohol, probenecid

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from light. Keep tightly closed and out of reach of children.
