How Dispred 8 mg Tablet works

Missed dose and overdose

Do not receive live vaccines during high-dose/long-term therapy. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration; taper on discontinuation as advised.

Do not take Dispred if

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Not for people with an untreated systemic infection, except where the steroid is part of the treatment.

NSAIDs (increased GI bleed/ulcer risk), anticoagulants like warfarin (altered INR), antidiabetics/insulin (may need dose adjustment), diuretics (hypokalemia), rifampicin/phenytoin/carbamazepine (reduced steroid effect), ketoconazole/macrolides (increased steroid levels), ciclosporin/tacrolimus (increased toxicity), live vaccines (risk of infection)
