Amoxicillin 250 mg/5 ml (as Amoxicillin trihydrate) powder for oral suspension (reconstituted)
Bacterial infections such as ear, nose & throat infections (tonsillitis, sinusitis, otitis media), lower respiratory tract infections (bronchitis, pneumonia), urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and dental infections caused by susceptible organisms
Amoxicillin is a penicillin-class antibiotic. It kills susceptible bacteria by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell lysis and death.
Oral suspension. Reconstitute with boiled and cooled water up to the mark on the bottle, shake well. Give the measured dose using a measuring cup/syringe as prescribed; usually taken 2–3 times daily at evenly spaced intervals. Can be taken with or without food (take with food if stomach upset). Shake well before each dose and complete the full prescribed course.
Common side effects of Mox 250 Redimix Suspension may include:


Prescription-only (Schedule H). Do not use in patients allergic to penicillins/cephalosporins. Use with caution in infectious mononucleosis (risk of rash). Dose adjustment may be needed in kidney impairment. Seek urgent help for signs of severe allergy (swelling, breathing difficulty), severe skin rash, or persistent/watery/bloody diarrhoea. Not effective for viral infections.
