Chericof LS Syrup

Chericof Ls Syrup contains Levosalbutamol 1 mg + Ambroxol 30 mg + Guaifenesin 50 mg per 5 ml syrup. Prescription required.

Wet/productive cough, chest congestion, cough with thick mucus in bronchitis, asthma/COPD with mucus, respiratory tract infections with phlegm

Levosalbutamol (a bronchodilator) relaxes airway muscles to ease breathing and wheeze. Ambroxol thins and breaks down thick mucus and improves its clearance. Guaifenesin loosens and helps expel mucus, reducing chest congestion.

Oral syrup; shake well before use and measure with a cup/spoon. Take as prescribed by the doctor, usually after food to reduce stomach upset; maintain adequate fluid intake. Do not exceed the recommended dose; not for dry cough unless advised.

Schedule H: use only on medical advice. Use with caution in heart disease, high blood pressure, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, glaucoma, seizures, and in patients with liver/kidney impairment. May cause tremor/dizziness—avoid driving if affected. Seek care if breathing worsens, high fever persists, or cough lasts >7 days. Not recommended for self-medication in young children; follow pediatric dosing strictly.

Beta-blockers (e.g., propranolol) may reduce bronchodilator effect; other sympathomimetics may increase side effects. Diuretics/corticosteroids/xanthines (e.g., theophylline) may increase risk of low potassium and arrhythmias. MAO inhibitors/tricyclic antidepressants may enhance cardiovascular effects. Digoxin levels may decrease with beta-agonists.

Store below 25°C, protect from light and moisture. Keep bottle tightly closed; do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
