Ferium Xt Drops contains Iron (30mg) + Folic Acid (500mcg) + Vitamin B12 (500mcg) and is used for nutritional deficiencies.

Treatment of Nutritional deficiencies

Ferium XT+ Orange Suspension contains three ingredients, namely folic acid, iron, and vitamin B12. Iron replenishes the iron stores in the body and corrects iron-deficiency anemia. Folic acid is essential for the production of red blood cells. It also prevents and treats folate deficiency and anemia. Vitamin B12 is essential for red blood cell production, nerve function, and DNA synthesis. Therefore, adequate vitamin B12 intake is important during childhood to support healthy nerves and overall growth.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Ferium XT+ Orange Suspension may be taken with or without food.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

A supplement is not a substitute for a balanced diet or for treating the cause of a symptom. Iron makes stools black and can cause constipation — this is expected, but tell your doctor if it troubles you. Keep iron-containing products well out of reach of children; an overdose in a small child is a medical emergency. Check the labels of everything you take so you do not double up on the same nutrient. Tingling, numbness or burning in the hands and feet should be assessed by a doctor rather than self-treated — a supplement does not address the cause. Folic acid can mask a vitamin B12 deficiency while nerve damage continues, so B12 should be checked before taking folic acid long term. Bright yellow urine after a B-complex dose is expected and harmless.

Iron, calcium, zinc and magnesium reduce the absorption of thyroid tablets and several antibiotics — separate them by a few hours. Tea and coffee taken with iron reduce how much is absorbed; vitamin C increases it. Long-term metformin, acid-reducing medicines and some anti-epileptics lower B12 or folate levels. Tell your doctor if you take levodopa, as vitamin B6 can reduce its effect.

Store below 30°C, away from direct sunlight. Do not freeze. Once opened, use it within the period printed on the pack. Keep out of the reach of children.
