Amoxicillin 125 mg/5 mL (as amoxicillin trihydrate)
Treatment of susceptible bacterial infections such as ear, nose & throat infections (otitis media, sinusitis, tonsillitis/pharyngitis), lower respiratory tract infections (bronchitis, pneumonia), urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and dental infections.
Amoxicillin is a penicillin-class (beta-lactam) antibiotic. It kills susceptible bacteria by inhibiting cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial cell lysis. It is ineffective against viral infections like common cold/flu.
Oral dry syrup/suspension: reconstitute with boiled and cooled water up to the mark, shake well. Measure dose with a calibrated spoon/syringe; give at evenly spaced intervals as prescribed, with or without food (with food if stomach upset). Shake well before each dose; complete the full course.
Common side effects of Mox 125 Redimix Suspension may include:

Schedule H: use only on prescription. Do not use in patients with allergy to penicillins/cephalosporins; stop and seek care if rash, swelling, breathing difficulty or severe allergy occurs. Use with caution in history of allergy/asthma, kidney disease (dose adjustment may be needed), and infectious mononucleosis (higher risk of rash). Prolonged use may cause superinfection; seek medical help for severe/persistent diarrhea (possible C. difficile).
