It also blocks the effects of some chemicals on your heart and blood vessels. This slows down your heart rate and helps the heart beat with less force. As a result
• •your blood pressure is lowered and this helps in reducing your risk of having a stroke

• •or kidney problems in the future. This medicine needs to be taken regularly to be effective
• •so keep taking it even if you feel well. Do not stop without talking to your doctor.

How it works

Sustameto-R Tablet ER is a combination of two medicines: Metoprolol and ramipril which lower blood pressure effectively. Metoprolol is a beta blocker which works by slowing down the heart rate and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood around the body. Ramipril is an ACE inhibitor which reduces stress on the heart and relaxes blood vessel so that blood flows more smoothly.

Directions for use

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Sustameto-R Tablet ER should be taken with or after food.
