Semaglutide 1.7 mg/0.75 mL (solution for injection) in pre-filled pen (Wegovy FlexTouch); delivers 1.7 mg per weekly dose
Chronic weight management as an adjunct to a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity in adults with obesity (BMI ≥30 kg/m²) or overweight (BMI ≥27 kg/m²) with at least one weight-related comorbidity; may be used in adolescents ≥12 years with obesity as per prescribing information/physician advice
Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist that increases satiety, reduces hunger and food intake, and helps control appetite. It also slows gastric emptying and improves glucose regulation, supporting sustained weight loss when used with lifestyle changes.
Subcutaneous injection once weekly on the same day each week, at any time of day, with or without food. Inject into abdomen, thigh, or upper arm; rotate injection sites. Follow the dose-escalation schedule prescribed; do not use if solution is cloudy/colored or contains particles. If a dose is missed, take within 5 days; otherwise skip and take next dose on the scheduled day.
