Semaglutide 2.4 mg/0.75 mL solution for injection (prefilled pen); pen contains 3 mL (total semaglutide 9.6 mg)
Chronic weight management in adults with obesity (BMI ≥30) or overweight (BMI ≥27) with at least one weight-related comorbidity (e.g., hypertension, dyslipidaemia, type 2 diabetes); used along with reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.
Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist that increases satiety and reduces hunger by acting on appetite-regulating centers in the brain. It also slows gastric emptying and can improve glucose control, leading to reduced calorie intake and weight loss.
Subcutaneous injection once weekly on the same day each week, at any time of day, with or without meals. Inject into abdomen, thigh, or upper arm; rotate injection sites. Use only after completing dose escalation and as prescribed; do not share the pen/needles; follow pen instructions for priming and dose delivery.
