How It Works
Gentian violet is a topical antiseptic dye with antifungal and antibacterial activity. It damages microbial cells and inhibits their growth on the skin/mucosa, helping control superficial infections.
Directions for Use
For external use only. Clean and dry the affected area, then apply a thin layer using a cotton swab/applicator 1–2 times daily or as directed by a physician. Avoid contact with eyes; wash hands after use. It can stain skin, clothes and surfaces.
For external use only. Do not use in/near eyes; if accidental contact occurs, rinse with plenty of water and seek medical advice. Avoid use on large areas, deep wounds, severe burns or broken skin unless advised by a doctor. Stop use if rash, swelling, severe irritation or signs of allergy occur. Use with caution on mucous membranes and in infants; follow medical advice for oral thrush. May stain clothing and contact lenses.
