Wytrol Capsule

Wytrol Capsule contains Calcium (200mg) + Calcitriol (0.25mcg) + Methylcobalamin (1500mcg) + Folic Acid (1.5mg) + Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) (3mg) and is used for nutritional deficiencies. Prescription required.

Nutritional deficiencies

Wytrol Capsule is a combination of five nutritional supplements. Calcium increases calcium deposition in the bones, which increases the density of the bones and makes them stronger. Calcitriol is a synthetic vitamin D that regulates the absorption of calcium in the body and strengthens the bones. Methylcobalamin is an active form of vitamin B12. This helps in proper cell growth and development, protein synthesis, and the production of blood cells (red and white blood cells). Folic Acid is also known as folate or vitamin B9. It helps in producing blood (hemoglobin) in the body. Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) is a vitamin nutritional supplement that regulates essential metabolic functions. Together, they help in managing nutritional deficiencies.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Wytrol Capsule may be taken with or without food.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Do not take more than your doctor has advised. Vitamin D builds up in the body and too much raises blood calcium, causing thirst, frequent urination, nausea and confusion. High-dose weekly or monthly sachets are prescription strengths — do not repeat one because you missed a week. Tell your doctor if you have had kidney stones or have kidney disease. This is a prescription-only medicine. Take it exactly as your doctor has directed, for the period directed. Do not share it with anyone else, even if their symptoms seem the same. Tell your doctor about every other medicine, supplement and herbal product you take. Report any unexpected or severe symptom to your doctor rather than stopping on your own. Tingling, numbness or burning in the hands and feet should be assessed by a doctor rather than self-treated — a supplement does not address the cause. Folic acid can mask a vitamin B12 deficiency while nerve damage continues, so B12 should be checked before taking folic acid long term. Bright yellow urine after a B-complex dose is expected and harmless.

Calcium reduces the absorption of thyroid tablets, several antibiotics and iron — separate them by a few hours. Water tablets of the thiazide group raise calcium further when combined. Give your doctor and pharmacist a full list of everything you take. Long-term metformin, acid-reducing medicines and some anti-epileptics lower B12 or folate levels. Tell your doctor if you take levodopa, as vitamin B6 can reduce its effect.
